Comcast Technology Solutions Announces Enhanced Live Services Offering

New capabilities deliver holistic, turnkey approach to 24x7 linear and live events streaming across any screen.

Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV – April 9, 2018 -- Comcast Technology Solutions, whose services include video workflow management, publication, distribution, and monetization, today announced new Live to IP offerings as part of its end-to-end Live Services portfolio. With live event viewing expanding well beyond sports, Comcast Technology Solutions’ enhanced portfolio of Live Services now enables video content providers and global operators to reach consumers with linear and live events available for streaming on any device.

Comcast Technology Solutions’ Live Services provides a turnkey solution to ingest content via satellite, fiber, or over the Internet; manage and protect the content; and distribute live streams to any device. The combination of Comcast Technology Solutions’ purpose-built video infrastructure, packaging, security, CDN-agnostic origin and multi-CDN delivery, and replay capabilities streamlines processes and integrates seamlessly with existing broadcasting and publishing workflows. Additionally, Linear Rights Metadata Management services ensure accurate delivery, entitlement, and representation of content across digital screens and live multichannel broadcasts.

“Comcast Technology Solutions has years of experience delivering live content via broadcast and now we can enable customers to benefit from this expertise across all screens,” said Bart Spriester, General Manager and Vice President at Comcast Technology Solutions. “With our broadcast-quality infrastructure and flexible, modular solution set, content providers are equipped to meet rapidly evolving consumer demands for live content.”

In addition to supporting simulcasts of live linear streams for multichannel distribution, Live Services now enables live event streaming directly to consumers over the Internet. For example, ESM Productions, a ROC Nation Company that specializes in music concerts and special events, uses Comcast Technology Solutions’ Live Services to transform its premier live events into engaging multi-screen experiences. Comcast Technology Solutions provides signal acquisition, post-production services, and content processing, while also enabling multi-CDN distribution for ESM-produced events that have included the Meadows Festival, Vic Mensa and Cardi B concerts, Reform 2018, and the WNBA.

“Whether it’s in-person or via live streams on the devices of their choice, consumers expect an exceptional, high-quality live experience. In addition to providing a flexible, turnkey technology solution, Comcast Technology Solutions has been an invaluable strategic partner, helping ESM offer one-of-a-kind premier live event broadcasts and streaming,” said Scott Mirkin, President and Executive Producer, ESM Productions.
