Lionsgate Advances Context-Aware Video Intelligence with Orange Logic and Comcast Technology Solutions

Orange Logic connects frame-level video insights from Comcast Technology Solutions with Lionsgate's trusted title, character, and talent context, enabling natural-language discovery across more than 2,000 hours of video

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Orange Logic today announced an expanded initiative with Lionsgate and Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) that is helping Lionsgate better understand, discover, and navigate more than 2,000 hours of video content.

Lionsgate is using Comcast Technology Solutions' video intelligence technology embedded within Orange Logic to analyze video at the frame level and derive detailed metadata. Orange Logic connects those insights with Lionsgate's title, character, and talent information, adding the context needed to make what appears on screen more meaningful and useful.

The resulting intelligence becomes part of the content record in Orange Logic, creating a richer semantic layer across Lionsgate's video library. Teams can use natural language to discover content by character, talent, title context, and on-screen appearance, making it easier to explore large volumes of video in the way people naturally think about stories and content.

"Lionsgate is taking a sophisticated approach to video discovery by connecting what appears on screen with the trusted context surrounding each title," said Misti Vogt, SVP of Engagement at Orange Logic. "That combination creates a deeper understanding of the media and gives teams a much more natural way to explore thousands of hours of content while keeping that intelligence connected to the information and controls they already rely on."

The initiative builds on Lionsgate's use of Orange Logic to unify its global marketing content. New video insights are incorporated directly into the existing content record rather than managed through a separate process, keeping them connected to established metadata, permissions, and business context.

Together, Comcast Technology Solutions and Orange Logic connect two essential layers of media intelligence: what appears on screen and what that means within Lionsgate's trusted content context. The result is a scalable approach to understanding and discovering a large video library while reducing the manual effort and uncertainty involved in identifying relevant content.

“Advanced video analysis gives media companies a scalable way to understand what is contained within large video libraries. Lionsgate is demonstrating what becomes possible when those detailed insights are connected with the contextual information in Orange Logic, creating new ways for teams to search and explore their content.”
